There are nine scholarships currently available, the Eppes-Davenport-Murrell Scholarship and the At-Large Scholarship, both worth $1,000. Seven (7) other scholarships are funded by individual donors, ranging from $500-$1,000. For more information email [email protected].
A. Scholarships funded by Eppes Alumni (Individuals and Classes):
- EPPES DAVENPORT-MURRELL SCHOLARSHIP, $1,000. (one thousand dollars), awarded to one student from each Pitt County Public High School.
- AT-LARGE SCHOLARSHIP, $1,000. (one thousand dollars) awarded to one student living outside of Pitt County. NOTE: Applicant must prove close family relations to an attendee or graduate of Greenville Industrial – C.M. Eppes High School.
B. Scholarships funded by Individual Donors:
- RUTH MARIE STATON SCHOLARSHIP, $1,000. (one thousand dollars), awarded to a student planning to attend Livingstone College in Salisbury, N.C. ( In memory of Miss Ruth Marie Staton, Business Administration and Typing Teacher)
- CHERRY HESTER COX SCHOLARSHIP, $500. (five hundred dollars), will be awarded to a student planning to attend Pitt Community College. (In memory of Alumna – Mrs. Cherry Hester Cox)
- BENNIE AND JAMESENA MOORE SCHOLARSHIP, $1,000. (one thousand dollars), awarded to an African American graduating senior in Pitt County or a contiguous county. NOTE: A student known to have received a full scholarship to a college/university is ineligible for this scholarship.
- SALLY CARRAWAY STREETER SCHOLARSHIP, $1,000. (one thousand dollars), awarded to a current student resident of Greenville Housing Authority planning to attend a community college or college/university ( In memory of EHS, Inc. Board member – Mrs. Sallye Carraway Streeter- former Director of Greenville Housing Authority)
- MR. BULLDOG SCHOLARSHIP, $500. (five hundred dollars), awarded to a student planning to attend Pitt Community College in the area of Construction & Industrial Technology (CIT). (NEW SCHOLARSHIP – 2020)
- MYRTLE T BATTLE LEGACY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP – ($1,000) Awarded to one high school senior who will attend a two- or four-year college. NOTE: This student must prove close family ties to a person having attended the former Greenville-Industrial or C.M. Eppes High School in Greenville, NC. (New Scholarship 2024)
- SANDRA MCLAWHORN SCHOLARSHIP – ($500) Awarded to one high school senior who will attend Pitt Community College with a concentration in Early Childcare. NOTE: This student must prove close family ties to a person having attended the former Greenville-Industrial or C.M. Eppes High School in Greenville, NC. (New Scholarship 2024)
