December 2021: From the President

My Fellow Eppes Alumni:

I bring greetings from your National Board and from our house to yours.

We pray that things are as good as can be expected as we continue to learn to live with COVID-19 and all that it has added to our already overloaded life.

Your Board suggests highly that if you are not vaccinated (vaxed as the young people say), please consider doing so.

We are cautiously planning for an in-person reunion in July 2022. Please note that I said cautiously. We are totally clear that if conditions are not favorable for regathering, we will present another virtual edition of our Reunion.

We are still in need of additional bodies to help keep the legacy of the greatest High School on earth alive. So, if you have a few hours per month (no more than 5), please let any member of the board know of your willingness to come on in, roll up your sleeves and get to work.

During this season of Advent, we always want “The reason for the season” to be clear in our hearts and minds.

With that though in mind, let’s spread the joy of Christmas as far and as wide as we possibly can. Even though times are tough for many of us, try to cultivate a “Christmas Heart” and share the spirit of Christmas with everyone you meet.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. “Live long and never die, Dear Old Eppes High.”
